Sailors and the sea

Cumberland River Rapids at high water - Cumberland Falls State Resort Park

On December 7, 1941  naval forces of Japan sank the battleship Arizona, and left the Oklahoma and other battleships afire at Oahu.  These battleships were constructed due to prolonged efforts from Franklin D. Roosevelt.  President Roosevelt loved ships, sailing and the sea.

Of Japanese Americans serving in World War II twenty one were awarded the Medal of Honor.

Over the years of the war in Vietnam, 2.7 million people served in Vietnam.

The stories of airmen, sailors and soldiers are repeated and deservedly so.

At this time U.S. Armed Forces are at war in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.  Right now.  What does that mean for Americans now?
