The log church was built in the community of Buckhorn from trees in the mountains surrounding Buckhorn and was completed in 1928. The people of Buckhorn continue in the tradition of friendliness and respect. The city is situated in Perry county Kentucky. The Middle Fork of
the Kentucky River runs through Leslie and Perry counties in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau. The Cumberland Plateau is a very scenic area in Southeast Kentucky.
